  1. Nice list of items to remember!

On the financial list, I like #5’s point about geographic arbitrage. Even if it’s within the same city, simply relocating to a lower part of town can make a significant difference.

And if you’re able to earn in one currency and live in a location with a less expensive currency, even better! Thanks for sharing from POF.

Hey, Mrs99to1. Your family doctor was very wise. I love all the advice, but my favorite was the one about being a foodie. What a great way honor the palate and meeting amazing people. Would be that more doctors were like your family doctor. Cheers.

  3. Love the list!

Avoiding student loans and living frugally is all most people really need to jumpstart their path to becoming wealthy!

I also love the non-financial advice of “being a foodie.” I honestly believe the most relaxing and efficient way of getting to know somebody is through food. It has always created a relaxing, pleasurable, and laid back environment that allows people to open up. If I am ever seeing an old friend and catching up, I usually always attempt to cook for them at my place in an effort to produce the same environment that food puts me in!

    Thanks for the share!

Nice work on your guest post! PoF has a great thing going, with his Sunday Best and Christopher Guest posts.
I am particularly an advocate of being a foodie. Sage advice – what better way to explore the world if you aren’t able to travel as much (or at all) as you’d like?

  5. I went to POF’s page to read the full story. Those are all excellent tips!

I especially agree with the embracing different cultures and diversity and the foodie tips. If I had to choose, I’d much rather spend my money on these experiences than other stuff.

btw, I haven’t been to the Taste of Danforth in a while haha… I remember going when I was much younger >.<

    • We haven’t been in a couple of years. But we need to go this year, now that the kiddo will be old enough to enjoy it. She will be 2 then. We are trying to introduce her to diversity and foodiness? as early as possible 🙂

  6. Down with student loans!
